Premier festival audiovisuel né à partir d’une coopération franco-africaine, Série Series Africa a pour missions de mettre un coup de projecteur sur les séries du continent africain, de favoriser leur circulation ainsi que la formation des talents, de contribuer à la structuration du secteur et de favoriser les collaborations entre les différents pays du continent, ainsi qu’avec l’Europe.
Série Series Africa, the pan-African series festival, is the African event entirely dedicated to TV series and to their creators. Its second edition will be held in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) in April 2020, after a first season in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) in 2018.
Série Series Africa brings together the African and European series-makers and the general public, and invites them to discover series from all over Africa presented by their creators. The programme also includes masterclasses, workshops for professionals (screenwriters, directors, producers, technicians, etc.) and networking events.Série Series Africa is a nomadic and non-competitive event, based on shared experiences and knowledge. It is also be a platform dedicated to the development and promotion of African series on the continent and in the whole world thanks to The African Series Summit, the industry part of the event.
Série Series Africa is a joint initiative from the creators of Série Series, The European Series Summit, an event on European series organised each year since 2012 in Fontainebleau (France), and a group of professionals from Burkina Faso gathered around actor and producer Issaka Sawadogo and his association Africasting. For the second edition in Ivory Coast, the Série Series team is working hand in hand with a network of local professionals lead by actor Franck Vléhi and his wife.
